The Frank E Page Educational Fund was established to give financial assistance to "deserving students who shall be graduated from the public high schools of Montgomery County, Virginia." Criteria for selection includes financial need and academic success. This scholarship is available for or 4 year institutions and community colleges. Applicants must complete an application, have two letters of reference, and a high school transcript to apply.

Meade Scholarship provides financial assistance to students who have achieved academically but who are financially unable to attend college. The Granville P. Meade fund awards scholarships to eligible Virginia high-school seniors to attend one of Virginia's public or private colleges or universities.
Beginning on February 1, 2021 through March 5, 2021 students can apply for the scholarship using the Office of Student Services Application Portal. All applications will be completed, submitted, and reviewed via the online application portal. Through these scholarships, the VHSL is committed to supporting and investing in Virginia’s youth. Students must be nominated by their school.

DWOYER DUE BY FEBRUARY 1 The Roanoke Chapter of The Girl Friends, Inc. is part of a national organization of approximately 1500 professional women in forty-eight chapters from coast to coast. The mission of the organization is to exhibit friendship through networking projects across America and to support community, cultural and educational agendas. The Girl Friends, one of the oldest organizations of African American women in the United States, was founded in 1927 in New York during the creative period of the Harlem Renaissance. Three scholarships are being offered to high-achieving, African
American students. 1. The Girl Friends Memorial Scholarship is to assist a student at a community college or a four year accredited institution. The $750.00 scholarship will assist a student with the cost of tuition, books and/or other mandatory fees. 2. The $1000.00 Roanoke Chapter’s Girl Friends Scholarship is to assist a student who plans to attend an accredited four (4) year college or university with the cost of tuition and/or fees. 3. The National $1000.00 to $1500.00 Girl Friends Fund Scholarship is to a high school senior that has been accepted to a four-year institution. This award is renewable for up to four years, provided applicable academic requirements are met by the scholar.
