Mary Tutle was a vibrant business leader who loved life. She believed in the value of building relationships, networking, and living Ut Prosim (VT’s motto - That I May Serve) in business and all aspects of her life. To keep her memory alive, John P. Tutle, has established an annual scholarship of $1000 to be given to a student graduating from a Montgomery County, Virginia high school who has been accepted to the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech.

Ruritan is dedicated to making your community a better place in which to live and work. The Mt. Tabor Ruritan Club is pleased to announce the availability of scholarships of up to $500 each to attend any accredited post-secondary institution. These scholarships will require at least 100 hours of community volunteer service within the past 24 months. Selection will be made on community volunteer service, scholarship, extra-curricular activity, and perceived need.

These scholarships are open to all students, regardless of your career ambitions! Scholarships of $1000 each will be awarded to seniors who have met the qualifications and have the highest ratings as compared to other applicants.

Therefore, your personal character, service to others, your past Math / Science achievements and your further pursuit of a Math or Science education will weigh heavily in the selection process. UPDATED DEADLINE: APRIL 1 (Student Application / Resume / Teacher Nominating Form This award recognizes outstanding Career and Technical Education seniors, who also exhibit Rotary’s ideal of Service Above Self. The award includes a $1,000.00 scholarship towards tuition costs for students planning to attend a community college or technical school to complete an Associate Degree (or similar degree) in a career and technical field (plans for further education is not a disqualifier). DEADLINE: ALL MATERIALS DUE APRIL 1 (STUDENT APPILCATION, TEACHER NOMINATION FORM, AND RESUME) Montgomery County Retired Educators Association (MCREA) will offer a $1,000 scholarship to a Montgomery County High School senior who plans to enroll in a program that will lead to a degree in the field of public education (PreK - 12). APPLICATION DEADLINE: APRIL 30, 2021 Each year, the Craig Botetourt Electric Cooperative Education Scholarship Foundation awards $1,000 scholarships. A combination of weighted criteria is used in the selection process: 40% financial need; 40% academic achievement; and 20% personal statement. Funds can be applied towards tuition, student fees, room and board, or textbooks, and are sent directly to educational institutions.

Plentl Sr. Aviation Scholarship Program for a Virginia high school senior planning an aviation career. In addition, the Department administers two Virginia Airport Operators Council (VAOC) scholarships: the John R. Lillard Scholarship/Kenneth R. Scott Scholarship.
DEADLINE: Lillard and Scott - March 5; Williard Plentl - March 12 The Alpha Lambda Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma sponsors a yearly grant-in-aid of $500.00 to a high school senior, who will be attending college with a planned major of teacher education.
