Online Application 2022 Scholarship (nrvhba.com) Application Deadline: May 1, 2022 Luther Memorial Offers Two Scholarships to Area Students
Luther Memorial Lutheran Church is offering two $500 scholarships this spring through the Luther Memorial Wilson Family Endowed Scholarship Program funded through estate donations by Jim & Betty Wilson and their son Tom Wilson. One scholarship is for any Lutheran student or member of The Well Campus Ministry entering or enrolled in college or technical school, and the other scholarship is for any BIPOC (Black, Indigenous Person of Color) student in the Blacksburg community entering college or enrolled in a college or technical school. The application process begins March 1st; applications are due on May 1st and will be reviewed in May and awarded in June, payable directly to the student’s learning institution. Reverend Monica Weber, pastor at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, says “We are so blessed to be able to offer these scholarships through the generosity of our parishioners. Scholarships help provide more students the opportunity to earn an education they may not otherwise be able to and allow them more time to concentrate and focus on their studies. Without scholarships, many students who could most benefit from higher education are finding it harder and harder to afford. We encourage all Lutheran or BIPOC students in the Blacksburg community to apply.” For more information and to access the application forms for these two scholarships, please visit the Luther Memorial Lutheran Church website (https://lmlc.org/news) or click on the buttons below to download the applications. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Monica Weber. BIPOC Application Lutheran or Well Campus Student Application All Applications Due May 1, 2022 |
