The Roanoke Valley Tennis Association (RVTA) will award two $1000 scholarships and two $500 scholarships. The selection criteria is: tennis participation, community service, character, leadership, and academics. Applicants must be high school seniors who will be attending college in the fall. "One” Memorial Scholarship Honoring Hunter Nathanael Smith (BHS Class of 2011) is awarded to a senior graduating from Blacksburg High School and continuing his or her education at a two or four-year college or university. The mission of the NRVHBA Scholarship Committee is to support the future growth of the Construction Industry by providing aid to deserving students enrolled in construction-related studies at Virginia’s Colleges, Trade Schools and within Working Internships. Each spring we will present a scholarship of $1,000 to a graduating senior who is interested in entering the Building Profession, including but not limited to architecture, drafting, building trades (electrical, plumbing, hvac), carpentry, contracting, and engineering.

The Leo Ferrell Memorial Rotary Scholarship was created by the Marion, Virginia Morning Rotary Club and the Ferrell family in memory of Leo Ferrell. This $2,500 scholarship seeks to identify and reward a member of a Southwest Virginia high school golf team who exemplifies leadership, academic excellence, sportsmanship, and community service. Please note that need is a consideration, but not
the sole basis, for this scholarship.

George Marshall Holmes was a resident of Blacksburg, Virginia. At his request, a scholarship has been established in his name for a deserving student/students at Blacksburg High School. In order to qualify for this scholarship, the student(s) should be highly qualified academically, demonstrate financial need, and must attend Virginia Tech as a full time student in the fall of 2021.

The Blacksburg Junior Women’s Club (BJWC) is offering three college scholarships to graduating MCPS high school seniors who have demonstrated strong participation in local community service activities.

Mary Tutle was a vibrant business leader who loved life. She believed in the value of building relationships, networking, and living Ut Prosim (VT’s motto - That I May Serve) in business and all aspects of her life. To keep her memory alive, John P. Tutle, has established an annual scholarship of $1000 to be given to a student graduating from a Montgomery County, Virginia high school who has been accepted to the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech.

Ruritan is America's leading community service club. Ruritan is dedicated to making your community a better place in which to live and work. The Mt. Tabor Ruritan Club is pleased to announce the availability of scholarships of up to $500 each to attend any accredited post-secondary institution. These scholarships will require at least 100 hours of community volunteer service within the past 24 months. Selection will be made on community volunteer service, scholarship, extra-curricular activity, and perceived need.
