The Roanoke Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is part of a national organization of 8,500 women in two hundred and forty-one chapters, from coast to coast, and on other continents. The Links, Incorporated is a volunteer service organization of concerned, committed, and talented women who are linked in friendship and who enhance the quality of life in the broader community.
The Roanoke Chapter is awarding two (2) Academic Scholarships in the amount of $500.00 (each scholarship) to eligible 2017 graduating seniors.
Qualified candidates should have a 2.5 GPA and demonstrate participation in community service activities, and leadership. Click here for more information on qualifications.

The New River Valley Alumni Chapter awards scholarships to high school seniors in the area who will attend Virginia Tech in the fall. The criteria for selecting the scholarship award winner include academic achievement, participation in school activities, and community support.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Montgomery County and Radford Scholarship Fund has announced their 2017 Scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding high school senior who plans to pursue studies in a human services/human medical field. The recipient wil receive a $1000 scholarship for tuition assistance

George Marshall Holmes was a resident of Blacksburg, Virginia. At his request, a scholarship has been established in his name for a deserving student/students at Blacksburg High School through the National Bank of Blacksburg. In order to qualify for this scholarship, the student(s) should be highly qualified academically, demonstrate financial need, and must attend Virginia Tech as a full time student in the fall of 2017.

The Armenian Education Center is pleased to announce an essay question contest, which will award a $1000 scholarship to one Virginia high school student.
This contest is open to students in grades 9 - 12.

The Rev. George Ducker Scholarship is awarded in memory of the Reverend George L. Ducker, member of the New River Community Action Board of Directors 1986-1992, Pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Radford, Radford City School Board and United Way Board member, community leader and advocate of quality education for all.

This award will recognize outstanding Fine Arts seniors, who also exhibit Rotary’s ideal of Service Above Self. This award will be selected from nominations received from Montgomery County seniors.

The Blacksburg Junior Women’s Club (BJWC) is offering three college scholarships, one for $1,000 one for $500, and one for $300 to graduating MCPS high school seniors who have demonstrated strong participation in local community service activities.
