This scholarship provides financial assistance to individuals attending an accredited technical school, college or university where the student/applicant’s learning is focused on building applications and studies in the area of building design, building construction, building engineering and facility maintenance.

The Roanoke Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is part of a national organization of 8,500 women in two hundred and forty-one chapters, from coast to coast, and on other continents. The Links, Incorporated is a volunteer service organization of concerned, committed, and talented women who are linked in friendship and who enhance the quality of life in the broader community. The Roanoke Chapter is awarding two (2) Academic Scholarships in the amount of $500.00 (each scholarship) to eligible 2018 graduating seniors. The "One" Memorial Scholarship Honoring Hunter Nathanael Smith (BHS Class of 2011) is awarded to a senior graduating from Blacksburg High School and continuing his or her education at a four-year college or university. Each spring, the Blue Ridge Council of Teachers of Mathematics offers a scholarship in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500) to a graduating senior from a public high school in our council's service region. Debbie Snell was dedicated to the growth of young athletes. She spent many of her free hours helping young athletes improve and perfect their skills. It was her goal to help young athletes become the best they could be. The Debbie Snell Memorial Scholarship is being offered to help a student athlete further their education. The Scholarship Fund, Grand Lodge Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, of Virginia is providing a scholarship to deserving men and women from the Commonwealth of Virginia. Students are selected on the basis of merit and need. Merit includes academic achievement, class rank, standardized test scores, participation in high school, community, church or synagogue activities, as well as the quality of application essays.
