EventZone will award a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior who lives within a 100 mile radius of Roanoke and plans to major or minor in Music, Dance, Theater, Sculpture, Painting, Photography, Drawing (graphic/computer art majors do not apply).

This $1000 Scholarship Award is presented annually by NRCA in memory of the late Rev. George Ducker to a low-income graduating New River Valley senior who will be entering college in the fall.

DEADLINE: March 15, 2021 Awarded by Sallie Mae®, The Bridging the Dream Scholarship for High School Seniors will award (25) $10,000 scholarships to high school seniors who plan to enroll in a two- or four-year degree professional certificate, or vocational training program. DEADLINE: MARCH 8, 2021 The Roanoke Valley Horsemen’s Association (RVHA) is offering a scholarship that will be awarded to a student who is planning to pursue an education that will lead to a two-year or higher degree in a course of study associated with the Agricultural Industry (i.e. Agricultural Business, Animal Science, Dairy, PreVeterinarian, Poultry Science) or a similar field. The non-profit RVHA will accept applications from 2021 graduating high school seniors.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: April 2, 2021 The Roanoke Valley Wrestling Association will award the Stan Parker Memorial Scholarship in the amount of at least $1,000. The scholarship will be based on financial need and a connection to wrestling. Qualified candidates will be active in wrestling and student activities or be the son or daughter of a coach, official, or someone actively involved in the wrestling community. APPLICATION DEADLINE: MARCH 23, 2021 The Mary Terry Goodwin Kuyk Volunteer Scholarship is open to current high school seniors who are not children or grandchildren of a member of the Junior League of the Roanoke Valley, have a C average or better, and provide outstanding volunteer service to their communities. Scholarship recipients receive up to $2,000 in scholarship funds.

Eligible students for this program are high school juniors who excel academically and come from low-income backgrounds.
QuestBridge partners with 45 top colleges to prepare College Prep Scholars to gain admission and full four-year scholarships to Stanford, Yale, Duke, and more through the National College Match. College Prep Scholars can receive special awards and opportunities, including a full scholarship to a college summer program, up to $1,000 for a new laptop, essay feedback, and much more. For more information and to apply, visit: https://www.questbridge.org/high-school-students/college-prep-scholars DEADLINE: MARCH 24, 2021 The Frank E Page Educational Fund was established to give financial assistance to "deserving students who shall be graduated from the public high schools of Montgomery County, Virginia." Criteria for selection includes financial need and academic success. This scholarship is available for or 4 year institutions and community colleges. Applicants must complete an application, have two letters of reference, and a high school transcript to apply.

Meade Scholarship provides financial assistance to students who have achieved academically but who are financially unable to attend college. The Granville P. Meade fund awards scholarships to eligible Virginia high-school seniors to attend one of Virginia's public or private colleges or universities.
Beginning on February 1, 2021 through March 5, 2021 students can apply for the scholarship using the Office of Student Services Application Portal. All applications will be completed, submitted, and reviewed via the online application portal. All students interested in applying must create an account to access the application, request letters of recommendation, and upload academic records. https://vastudentservices.smapply.org/ For more information on application procedures, please reference the VDOE Granville P. Meade Scholarship web page. Through these scholarships, the VHSL is committed to supporting and investing in Virginia’s youth. Students must be nominated by their school.
